It was the boxing-day and we could see that Christmas mood was still there at the Holiday Inn Jaipur. There was a 10 foot Christmas tree at the main door itself announcing proudly that it was still Christmas season. On entering we found an atrium as high as the building itself, all of seven storeys and from the top was a bunch of green string-lights arranged in a conical form giving a feeling of a 100-foot Christmas tree and below were several reindeer pulling their cart containing one of the biggest gingerbread house we had seen.

After my two visits to Mauritius, I maintain, Mauritius is one of those few places in the world you can fall in love with immediately… even before landing. Mark Twain called it “paradise”, and Joseph Conrad “a pearl”. It is a beautiful island country, known for its white beaches and pristine waters. Each side of the island has a different landscape.
What makes it a pleasure is
We meet many people on the road, both locals and travelers alike who help us in time of need or distress without expecting a return. Last week of every month I bring you stories from travelers who have experienced kindness on the road and like to share and spread it for the love of travel.

I have heard about kindness on road but when I started my solo GQ (Golden Quadrilateral) ride I met so many people that I had never expected that people will be so kind to a stranger.
What would you like to see on mother earth? A rainbow? Or a variegation? Or both?
Well, Mauritius has both!
London has always enjoyed a cherished place in the heart of Indian travellers and tourists alike and of mine as well. For me, it has always been ahead of even Paris. So much so if you have not been to London then you have not travelled! Alternately, if you have been to London then nothing else matters. 🙂 🙂

Ilocos happened by chance.
I was supposed to go to Batanes, an archipelago province in The Philippines situated in the Cagayan Valley region. It is the northernmost province in the country, and also the smallest. As luck would have it, just few days before my trip, typhoon struck there and everything came to standstill. The damage was done. The flights were cancelled, so was the trip.
The organizers TBEX offered me three
