The timing was perfect! Nisha and I were going to beautiful destinations and the latest ASUS Zenfone landed literally on our laps. A quick look at the features of recently launched Zenfone 3s Max made me sit up excitedly. There were major changes in OS, Camera and battery too.

Have you heard of the saying “All good things come in small packages!”?
As travel bloggers we travel a lot and take a lot of pictures. I had always wished that good cameras came in small packages that I could use in a jiffy and which also gave a reasonable result.
One day, ominous rain clouds had gathered and it had been threatening to rain again, in Mumbai. I was working in my study and just happened to see outside. The ethereal setting impressed me and I was just about to get up and get my regular camera that was stored in another room. I was feeling a bit lazy and stretched my hand to pick up the cell phone that had just come in the morning and I had not had a chance to use.
Only a few months back OPPO launched its first selfie camera OPPOF1 and OPPOF1 PLUS. In this age of cut throat competition time to market and having a niche is most important and so we see a new and improved version of OPPO F1s, the selfie camera, launched on 3-Aug-2016.
Given the choice, I do not like to carry my bulky cameras, especially when I am traveling light. It’s the same when I roam around in my own city. I have seen few people who do not leave their cameras at all. Even when they go to a restaurant! I think it restricts them in some manner. These days there are many good camera phones available in the market which allow us more freedom.
In this age of high tech electronics one looks for a good quality all in one smart phone for all our needs including imagery, editing, audio, communication and of course price amongst other features. Recently I was offered the ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser for a review, which claimed to satisfy all the above requirements. Let us see how it fared in my tests.
