A little bit of bragging!

A little bit of bragging!

It is not always that I like to boast. 😀

Very rarely.

But a little bit of it gives you positive energy, they say. There are times when you want to share good news with your so many unseen fellow readers and friends.

Its happy news time again. I have been interviewed by Times World Travel Magazine by Bennett & Coleman! It is about ‘Independent Women Travelers’.

It is a cover story and one full page is dedicated to me. The interview is edited a bit, probably to accommodate in one page. Believe me, it was a long interview that I gave. You should check out if you get a copy of it, page 13 is all about me & my take on solo travel. 🙂

I am accompanied by few other solo travelers. Do read. Who knows, you might get some inspiring ideas for yourself or for your loved one.

P.S.- Here’s the link to the article. Please refer to page 3 of 4 of the article Solo & Steady. 🙂

  1. Wow! That’s a great news!!

You are my inspiration since the time I started reading your blog.

    It is a commendable feat.

    Congratulations and keep going.

  2. Congratulations Nisha!! Travelling solo is something i always have wanted to do but indian family cloches haven’t let me! I am finding great ideas here on your blog!! *yaayy!*

  3. That’s so great. Congrats! Travel Bloggers like you are an inspiration for me as I have recently launched my family travel blog 😀

  4. Nisha, girl!!! … I have no words to express my admiration for you. You know I refrain from travelling to new places due to fear, but last year have gone to few places with my Mom, not alone yet to a completely new place.

Let me tell you I can’t travel to unknown places alone yet, because always in India people take solo women as targets or helpless. In Pondicherry I went walking alone in the morning and got approached twice, once some assualt from bike guy who rode away after touching me and second was a scooter guy who told me he will take me where I want to. Mysore I again got followed by someone twice, so really don’t think India is safe enough for women solo travellers, they can do so with some company.

But you are absolutely inspiring!!! 🙂

  5. Maria,
Thank you so much for your kind words.

I am glad that you started traveling. And I agree with you, India is not that safe country for solo travelers.

    Thanks again.
